Container sizes and payloads vary by line and by container; road weight limits in India and at destination may allow less than the container's payload. Check with your forwarder before you book.
Airlines charge on the higher of actual and volumetric weight.
Volumetric weight = length × width × height in cm ÷ 6000 per carton (IATA), or ÷ 5000 for most express couriers. Airlines usually round up to the next half kilo.
