ECGC country rating system evaluates countries based on their creditworthiness, economic and political stability. The classification system consists of seven categories, ranging from Category A1, which includes countries with a very low risk of non-payment, to Category D, which includes countries with a very high risk of non-payment. The rating is periodically updated using various factors to help lenders and exporters assess risks associated with conducting business in different countries.
